When and why did everything get so complicated? Somewhere along the way, companies discovered that synthetic chemicals could make our skin softer, our hair shinier, and our teeth whiter.
In the excitement of the chemical boom of the 60’s we lost our way. We thought that labs could produce better ingredients than mother nature. We thought that government regulations would protect us and make sure that what was for sale in the marketplace had been tested for long term human health impacts.
We thought wrong. With over 80,000 chemicals in use in our industry today, only a fraction of them have been tested for long term effects.
We don’t think that is good enough, and our industry needs to change.
Whether it was mashed avocado on my face or an egg in my hair, I’ve loved experimenting with natural ingredients since I was a little girl. I inherently believed that if it came from nature it was the best you could get. I still believe that.
I believe that the earth provides more than enough ingredients to give us beautiful and healthy skin for life. I believe that body care should provide more than a sweet-smelling experience, it should be beneficial to our health and our psychological well-being. I
believe that parents deserve peace-of-mind when choosing products for their families.
Shopping for body care should be a purely joyful experience. It’s my personal vision, and the mission of our company to be unwavering in our commitment to toxin-free, so you can shop with the freedom of knowing that everything we make is safe and good for you.
